CFR525 Supercharger Kit for sale

Well, as some people may have known, I was planning on bolting a supercharger to the Z4M this summer. I picked up a kit with 900 miles on earlier in the year, and was planning to fit it over the last couple of months. However, due to fluctuations with work, and it being a bit of a tough year, I don't want to commit the money to the car until things are a bit more certain. So I'm biting a very painful bullet, and selling the kit on.

It's an M3/CSL kit, but as you know, the engine in our Z4Ms is the same. The kit is ready to go straight onto an M3, however to fit the Z4M there are a few minor changes that need to be made (different intercooler piping, different intercooler brackets, different supercharger inlet pipe and and oil cooler kit). All of these parts are available off the shelf from ESS, so it's a painless upgrade, but you could source some of these yourself as well (probably all but the supercharger inlet) and save a few pennies if you wanted to.

I'd like the kit to go to a decent home, and I'll do a deal for any Z4-Forum members on the asking price. I'm gutted to be selling it, as it'd transform one of our cars into an absolutely phenomenal machine. Reports from people in the US is that it retains complete stock driveability, but that extra 180bhp or so under the bonnet is incredibly useable when the time comes!

A couple of videos of Z4Ms in the US with the kit...

I'm not canning the project totally. I'll revisit it next year hopefully when things are a little rosier, but for now I want to release the funds for other things.

If it put a premium on the car come resale time I would consider it but I imagine you would have to return the car to normal and sell the two seperately, which makes it a bit of a fag unless you are keeping the car for quite a while. Must admit it's tempting though :)

Andy,
Have these sold ? Im guessing so as the ebay has ended.... I spent a full 24 hours working out where the funds might be coming from :headbang: :headbang:

Needless to say I was a bit short......and I dont fancy selling my runabout to fund it !
Put me out my misery please ?

Just viewed the clips and god that's quick, if not abit too quick for a stock set up ie tyres-size and compound, brakes and suspension. I'd love one, but will have to wait until next year for after the w/ty period.

Also does anyone know why the car changes at 7.7krpm and not the usual 8.125?

I wonder who bought it - hope it was a zed from here...

The guy who's bought it is an M3 owner... so sadly won't be seeing it on a Z4M yet. I'm still looking to do this, but it will be next summer now. In the meantime, a years extra warranty won't go amiss ;)

Sorry, didn't mean to ignore you!

The CSL ECU is different, but the reflash isn't part of the kit. Once fitted your existing ECU is reflashed with the ESS software, and ESS have the software for both CSL and Z4M applications.
