CF or Wood dash kit (aftermarket)

I know of one member who has added an aftermarket dash kit to his Z4 (M). Anyone else and what are the opinions of them? Quality pluses and minuses? Recommendations?

Why not just option out a new Z4 with the dash you want? You know where I'm going with this right

You wouldn't want to try and make your own bits with the actual material its a real craft to get it right.
Let someone else do the hard work and just pay for the final job.
I think ideally you need a vacum chamber or at least large oven when curing Carbon fibre its a little bit like working with Fibre glass in constructing it.

Yes, I would need an autoclave. But with that epoxy stuff on the auction I don't think I would need an autoclave. I don't mind doing the work. I might look into it a little further.

As far as the dash kits go, I saw one on ebay a while back that was backed with the 3m stuff. The thing that worries me is what if the car gets hot inside. Will the 3m stuff melt and move? Anyone who has the aluminum knows that you could fry an egg on it on a hot day. I used to have my garage door opener mounted on velcro tape in my honda and it would get hot and just fall off.

Well all honesty I'm a big visual type o fella. I pretty much don't buy anything major until I can see it with my own eyes. For example I first saw the Z4 i though bleh, then I saw it in person and fell in love.

Same as what is in mine, very impressed with the fitment. Do not know how the CF looks, so can't comment on that one.
