I be just bought gyeon can coat. And gyeon rim cermamic. What's the low down on gyeon any good? Worth it?? Or a good wax just as good if applied several times a year. It's going on anyway just waiting for car to return from the bodyshop

Not sure what your car’s in the body shop for but my understanding is you can’t ceramic coat new paint for at least 6 weeks.

Happy to stand corrected if someone with more knowledge comes along

My 718 was done in under that time iirc, after a full paint correction as even from the factory there are defects.

If it is from a bodyshop, the paint has been dried at a lower temperature so requires longer before PPF or coating. For respray, it is a minimum of 3 weeks

I thought it may be different between factory and bodyshop paint. I have a mate that got a repair done by the selling garage on a car he was buying and it was to be ceramic coated before pickup. The detailer did the rest of the car but he had to take it back in 6 weeks to get the painted panels done. Maybe he was being slightly over cautious with the 6 weeks.

I waited 6 weeks as well just to make sure when I had mine ppf-er after respray

I have used both the products the OP mentions. Can coat is excellent, however the rim coating is not so good.

Yes I will be waiting for the new paint to gas off. Can't wait to get the car back two new headlights two new front wings all wheels refurbished
