Ceramic pro - any experiences?

I haven't but do feedback any links or experiences you have! I'm a CarPro/GTechniq man.

It made a huge difference to the paint protection, but it is a very difficult apply. They had heat lamps and masks, gloves, etc. They had to put on various layers (9H on the wheels, different one for the glass, another one for the interior). Various coats on the paint, then finish off with sport - 5 layers in total.

I had my Audi S6 done about 18 months ago and then the RS6 in Sept last year just prior to picking it up - have to say it is a fantastic product and it really is like putting a glass coating on the paint. It takes a few days depending on how many coats you want, I would recommend 4 and then a coat of light to help bring out the shine of the paint and then it needs leaving for a day untouched for the coating to set.
Once done, a quick snow foam wash and she is looking great again. Going get the Z4 done once there is a slot in the diary and I have saved up enough money as the process is not cheap but well worth it IMHO
Where are you thinking of getting it done as the local chap here has a number of folk around the country doing it?

I had my TT detailed and ceramic pro back in June.
Works well.. and usually a jet wash is enough to get it clean now.
The only downside is that I've got a couple of stone chips and they are pretty big chips... maybe thats an Audi thing.. but the guys did warn me before hand that it could be a possible side effect now.

I did notice that on my E92, the front was pretty peppered after a while, it degraded much faster than it had before - which is ironic. It might be best to avoid using it on the bonnet (leave the bumper if it's plastic). I made the same assumption, it must make the paint very hard once it bonds.

Nice pics there Japseroony saw the photos of your RS6 on the polishing company's facebook page when you just had it done. I quite facied getting the coupe done in ceramic pro but just dont really have the spare cash unfortunately

Yes Mike does a good job but the process is expensive - can't recommend it more though as it has really helped out with the washing and cleaning of the car and she looks as good not as the day she was done

They way the guys explained it to me... Is that it will make the paint tougher so will minimise road rash... But as the paint has less flex when it does take a chip more it likely to come off.
My car has covered about 3k country lane miles since getting it done... So had had a hard life... With loose asphalt and mud etc... So prob would look worse off if i hadnt had it done.... But by all accounts the Audi paint seems pretty hard to start off with... So is easily chipped... But prob no worse than BMW.
