Ceramic polish on glass?

Just treated my pride and joy to a good clean and a coat of Gtechniq ceramic polish for the winter.

After finishing my application cloth was damp with the residue of the polish. Did wonder if this could have been used to wipe over the glass in the same way you would use a product like Rainx.

Didn’t but thought I would ask if anyone had tried it or it’s a complete no no?

When I had my Countryman ceramic coated. They put some sort of coating on the windows and door mirrors which worked really well. Not sure if it was the same product as they used on the paintwork. However, it was a disaster on the windscreen. The wipers juddered all the time. I went back twice and if I hadn’t sold the car would have had to go back again. No doubt someone will be able to provide you with the correct answer.

Why would you use expensive ceramic coating on your house windows? :?

When you have finished doing the car, the cloth is still damp with the stuff. A quick wipe over a couple of windows is free if it works
