Relatively happy with how this has turned out, it’s not perfect but I’m guessing 80% of what a Pro detailer might achieve

Not certain what a pro detailer can do better - still love that colour

I’ve got a couple of high spots I missed during application, so they need Polishing out and area re-coating. There are also one or two minor holograms (in very bright light) as a result of not getting the second coat application spot on.

I’m being very picky, I doubt 99% of people would even notice but I’d expect a pro to get it virtually perfect first time though... although I’ve never seen a professionally detailed car close up

Great result. Which ceramic coating did you use?

It’s in the thread title, but here’s a link to the product

Thanks for the prompts  no surprise but i do watch the market with more than passing interest  if i did delve back into any E89 it would be either a 4pot or another twin turbo , whichever it would have to be a manual unless buying to sell .
One that caught my eye here https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-Z4-3-5i-Rare-M-Sport/254899224582?hash=item3b592d8006:g:GVQAAOSwWDBgSnHf my previous manual 35i being a stand out car for me in my Z history .
& i should like to add that the current TTRS would be going nowhere :o

/ / / / sorry for any distraction to the OPs thread here :(
