Centre speaker cover

I was driving down the dual carriage way with the roof down yesterday when something flew past me into the passenger footwell.

When I stopped, it was the plastic cover over the vacant middle speaker between the headrests. Looking at it, the top two clips had broken which I believe caused it to fly out.

At the moment I am going to get a bit of tape to hold it in place, but does anyone know how easy it is to source one of these? Although it is tempting to use this as an excuse to upgrade the audio and fill the hole with an additional speaker, not sure the wife will buy into it!

Parts are easily sourced from a dealer. Unless you have an advanced audio system there is no wiring to add a speaker. Unless also you go third party of course.

Good to know Maniac, will give the local dealer a shout see if they can get one for me. Isn't a big issue, but would rather not have is stuck on with tape too long, wasn't nice having it fly off at speed

The rear centre speaker grill with tweeter in place is only about £40 from a dealer. No problem.

Ooo that's not a price at all. Not sure if I would have the wiring though, got the professional setup (forgive me, really not great with the audio!). Looking at that price though, if I have the wiring, I may well hold onto the sticky tape till I can get the speaker in

I was scrolling back through the forum pages and it seems it's possible to power the speaker from splicing one of the other cables. Maybe the wiring for it is another extra part.

Just ordered a new trim piece from the local dealer, £10.01 and only 2 of them in the uk. Easiest way for me atm instead of playing around with a mew speaker
