My centre console plastic (the fragile piece the gear leaver shroud clips into, not the part with the switch) is broken. Has anyone repaired theirs successfully? If so, with what?
The plastic part your describing is screwed to the back of the brushed aluminium trim panel with a gazillion short torx screws which can only be undone by removing ALL the centre console from the top between the seats inc the centre cubby ! I did this so that I could carbon wrap my trim. If you haven't removed this before then it will take you at least 2 hours with the right tools and working methodically. All info can be found by doing a search on this forum. Mine was cracked either side at its thinnest point. I repaired mine from the rear with Araldite Epoxy Resin and then sprayed the top visible face with satin black. You'd never know now.
I've taken it out already to paint it. I stuck it together with a two part mitre fix I use for work, but it broke when I tightened the screws. I was going to wrap mine as well. Do you have pictures of the finished item?
