central locking problem

Hi All. Took the car out for a spin yesterday with no problem. 2nd time I went to go out the locks would not open. When you press the button I can hear a noise but it does not lift the locks. Then when you press the lock button it makes all the usual noises and flashes the hazards to say it has locked. But I had to use the key to manually open it. This happened once before and I had to disconnect the battery to fix it. Any one else had this intermittent problem. 2003 2.5 auto convertable.

I had the same problem 3 weeks ago. I did a search on the forum and it suggested that your spare key may be flat and this creates this problem. I swapped keys and so far no reoccur acne. Worth a try if you haven't already.
 
I had the same weird issue last week, when it was a hot day. Shifted the car from outside where it had been baking all day into the garage. Opened ok. Into the garage and locked ok. Forgot my phone in the car and unlocked it again a few mins later...

The passenger side unlocked, the drivers side button popped up but the handle wouldnt open the door from the outside. Locked and unlocked a few times same issue!! :o

Went in through the passenger door and used the internal drivers handle and it opened. Got out and locked/ unlocked and it was all working perfectly again!!! :?

Never done it again since... no idea what it was but I did get a pound sign panic attack! Hope it doesnt happen again..
