only happened today but the open button on the key has no effect other than to disarm the alarm. Quick search suggests a possible problem with a control unit behind the glove box. Do others agree?

symptoms came on suddenly

remote will lock everything (middle button)
remote will remote open boot (bottom button)
remote will disarm the alarm (top button)
nothing opens from the remote (top button)
drivers door open with key in door - nothing else opens

most immediate problem is how to open the storage hatch between the seats (sunnies and sat nav inside), not sure have checked filler cap! Is there a work around?

thanks

the other key has never worked the remote, mind you I did blip it in error this morning. I wonder!!

update

just rtfm and theres an emergency cubby unlock - is ther one for the filler cap too???

update update

yes

now what do we think about the module?, dead or fixable?

a common failure is a fault in the gm5 module. one of the relay for the central locking is broken. There are some specialist, who can repair the gm5 by replacing this relays.

regards

GM5 out and sent away for relay replacement on Monday, Came back with new relays yesterday, cost just under £40 including postage. Will hopefully refit over the weekend and report back

fingers crossed

All went back together without any drama, locks now work as they should

fix much easier than I expected

about 1/2 hour to remove, send away for repair and 40 mins to reinstall. cost approx £40
