Central locking not beeping

Just went to lock the zed after working on it and now the central locking isn't beeping like usual. The things i've done are:
Changed a headlight
Removed the plastic cover beneath the steering wheel which has the footwell light and another device (not sure what it is - central locking speaker perhaps?) attached to it.

Would either of these cause the central locking to stop beeping?

The speaker is probably the reverse parking sensor speakers
As for the central locking, no idea

Is there supposed to be a noise when reverse gear is activated??? Mine doesn't

Default is disabled, is an option in SSS/NCS.

Not sure if its default or not as most have that sounder unplugged.
Mine made the horrible noise when out of curiosity I connected it.
Undid that real quick ...

Yes, I forgot about them being unplugged! Mine was set to no initial beep when putting into reverse, and I think the SSS option on top was disabled so assumed that was disabled.
