Central locking fix

Once considered doing that to a 1600 Ford Capri I had, the locks on Fords were absolutely useless in those days, ended up putting a hidden ignition cut out switch in it which solved the problem of having the car nicked but didn't stop some scrote pinching the headrests I had on the seats.

 I used to be able to open and start my Ford Cortina with my Yale front door key

When I bought my MK2 Escort RS2000 in 1982 it came complete with an ignition cut-out behind the dash, one of those domestic rack-bolts on the inside of the passenger door and what looked like a lock from a locker riveted onto the driver's door a bit below the door handle!

Still it never got stolen.
