CEL and P0455

Gentlemen,

I'm sure many of you are watching the World Cup today. However, I'm hoping for a bit of help in solving this fault code.
I've already searched this forum without any luck. P0455 read as "Evap system large leak detected".
Reasons could be;
1. Loose, defective or missing fuel cap (checked but doesn't seem to be a problem)
2. Faulty vent solenoid
3. Faulty purge control solenoid
4. Faulty fuel tank pressure sensor.

I'm pretty handy with a wrench and I've got a simple VOM. Have any of you come across this fault code previously?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions and help. BTW, my car is an '03, 3.0, MT w/45,000 miles.

Thanks so much for the diagram. Called a friend who's very familiar with the 3-series and we should be able to diagnose.
