I had a test drive in a mk1 MX5 years ago and remember the gear change being brilliant. My Fd3 RX7 was very nice as well. Maybe Japanese manufacturers know how to make a good manual gearbox!

Funny that we both went from an RX7 to a silver grey MC.
What colour was your FD?

Yeah, I assumed by FD3S's user name he'd had a FD3 RX7! Mine was a red UK spec model with the original twins. It was a very very rare car, being UK supplied. I loved it, had it 12 years, always felt rapid, a great chassis and stunning looks. Appreciated in value as well

Nice!
Mine was a black import, really liked that car.
My friend has a red UK car with a Re-Amemiya bodykit, he's had it around 15yrs, don't think he'll ever sell it.

If I have the chance my next third car will be an imported Spirit R. I love that car. The shape of it is so sexy...

YESSSSSS.. just YESSSSSS

V nice i was tempted plus a redline oil change
What's the one they recommend for it?

Coming back to the CDV removal, today I was at my mechanic to book an appointment for my car and I told him that I want also to remove the CDV. He told me that this not a good idea it since I will loose the nice feel of the clutch and this mod is done only by car racers. He also told me that he has not done it to his track car. Any thoughts?

I'm not sure why removing the restriction would cause us loose the nice feel of the clutch. It's doesn't alter this at all.

Thanks Beedub. I loved that car, it was as it came out of the factory (apart from intake and exhaust).

After some carful thought I think it's safe to say he's a twat.

He probably doesn't know how to do and just wanted to save face.
