Can someone tell me, in super simple(ton) terms, what this does? What difference does it make? (and is it a manual or automatic thing)?

It sets a limit on how quickly the clutch can be engaged/disengaged regardless of how quickly you move your left foot. Takes a while to get used to

It has no effect when you put your foot on the clutch, only when you release it.
