Had CDV done today, was a bit sceptical of a significant improvement from what other members have said about the M version.
However, massive difference - gear shift so much smoother and doesn't feel like it is going to kangaroo etc.
I would highly recommend doing it! :D

i found it an improvement , But worse than the cdv is the nanny traction control that robs the M of its soul by over riding the drivers right foot and reflexes, and the micky mouse sport button which while is a bit of fun at speed it can invoke the most embarrassing kangarooing if you want to come off the throttle say in second to a mini roundabout or junction and then go back on the throttle, i think it is more than likelythe shite fly by wire throttle and would be much more drivable with a mechanocal throttle cable 👍

Yep, I noticed an improvement with mine as well, recommended!

Can a BMW Dealer do this? Does it affect your warranty if you have an approved used one? Also, any negatives to doing it?

There are no negatives unless you like to dump the clutch. If anything it will help with clutch life as it won't be slipping so much.

Nobody I know of has ever reported any issues due to CDC removal.

I had mine done last week and what a difference it makes to 1st and 2nd. I have noticed though the clutch is a bit 'looser' shall we say when sat in traffic. The CDV defo helped make traffic situations that bit easier.
