cdv delete

is there a way to get the right amount of adjustment ?

Put some plasticine (or moistened bread) under your clutch pedal and find the biting point of the clutch, and that will give you the "dead space" under the clutch pedal. You can then adjust your DIY clutch stop accordingly. Once fitted, you can fine tune the height to give you a safe amount of clearance.

Hi Chaps,

I also took the route off getting used to the clutch and gear changes for the last 3 years. However, the car was in for some work recently and since I have had a modified cdv sitting in the garage for about 18months thought i would get it fitted. All i am going to say is I wish I had done it sooner... Cheap mod which is worth the improvement it provides all day long IMO.

Get it done :-)

fitted diy clutch stop and tested last night, definately a better feel to the clutch, will still fit modified cdv tho as i tried a fast take off from the lights and found it hard to get off the clutch whilst waiting for cdv to engage clutch and trying to find bite point at higher revs just ended up with about 3seconds riding the clutch, and am convinced that cdv will wear the clutch quicker than the same vehicle without one fitted. that said , the m was still pretty damn quick off the line
