CDV Clutch delay valve

I´m interested to know if anyone of you have installed a CDV on your Z4, I´m thinking of installing one?

I would also like to know what you think of it and where you bought it!

Thanks in advance!

Has yours been removed then as they are fitted as standard. Lots remove them as it makes the the transmission smoother when releasing the clutch.

Only reason it's there is if the driver drops the clutch it helps protect the drive train, but it will increase clutch wear also as it slips it more than without a CDV.

As Shrutch says - many on here fitted, quick search will find lots of responses.

Have a look here:

Don't many fit that nowadays Alan, either they modify their own or just remove completely.

Agree but if not it gives a reasonable explanation ad pics to show where and what to remove. Certainly cheaper and quicker just to remove and connect directly.

Maybe its a dum question, but is it the same fitting, so you just take away the CDV and plug-&-play?

Yep just remove and rejoin the hose to the pipe.

Mines going in for a service in two week and I will be having mine removed.

You may have to bleed the clutch slave cilinder.
