Had this on my roadster, just give it a good whack (in a sideways motion with the side of your fist!) and it will work honestly, persist and it will wake up!

Well my CD is still struck fast it will not slide open its getting jammed behind the trim can anyone tell how you remove the CD player is there access though the boot

Mine did.

I could get the door open but the eject button wouldn't work. Went in under AUC and was fixed when I had a brake fluid change.

Yep total and utter f*ck on to get CD changer out. Although it looks like it should basically just slide in and out easily it really really doesn't. In fact a Z4 is basically a 6 disc CD changer with a car assembled around it.

The aperture that you access the changer through is slightly too small and the entire centre console arrangement is fitted over the top of it. You can get it out and it isn't technically challenging but it will take you several hours as there is a lot of dismantling and re-assembly.

I just chose to bite the bullet and install an Intravee. Had to fork out nearly £200 for the parts (brand new Intravee and second hand alpine unit) but took less than an hour to fit and there are more than 6 CDs on my iPod.

BMW are going to look at it under my AUC warranty :grin::grin:
