CD Player not working.

Just bought a 06 plate 2.5si and love it. The only problem I have is the CD player won’t accept CD’s. There is no disc in the CD Player so not sure what the problem is. Also the CD changer won’t play any of my discs, it says reading CD’s then nothing happens.

Happened to my cd changer
Take the 6 disc cassette unit out
Get compressed air can Halfords sell them
Give the changer unit a good blast with air without cassette in, stick Clean hoover in then repeat with air and hoover
That worked on mine as cd changer really seems to get affected my dust
As for the single slot try a cd cleaner set

No answer for the single cd player, but the cassette is a common problem. Sometimes a sharp 'rap' on the side of the cd cassette changer, while pressing the green button, brings it back to life and sometimes it doesn't......mine didn't and I now have a bluetooth/usb player plugged in the rear of the radio in its place, which can play many more times the amount of music than the cd player can hold. You can change the 6 cassette....but you need to disassemble 2/3 of the interior to get it out. :? Youtube has many video's for just this problem.
