is fitting the bmw 6 cd changer in the centre compartment a tricky job was thinking about getting one as its pretty much the only extra my car hasnt got any advice will be much appreciated cheers.
 
I'm not sure if the wiring loom is in place ready for it, however I can tell you that there is a fair amount of console removal to get into it.

I recently had to replace mine and it was a fair length job, though nothing too dificult if you're logical
 
im sure all z4s are pre wired for the changer is the changer held in with any specific brackets?

Yes it has specific brackets. One side is 2 lugs that slot into the bodywork the other IIRC an angle bracket. Very different to the other fittings that I've used on the same changer in other BM's
