CD changer

I am toying with the idea of fitting a multicghanger to my car. The two questions I have are 1) where do BMW mount them if you have them fitted from new? 2) will the wire from the head unit to the changer already be in the car even though the changer was not spec'd from new?

They usualy have a six stacker mounted in the under the hatched cover ( rear bulkhead between the two seats) - I can't confirm if the wire to head unit will be there or not but I'd be really surprised if it isn't - ceratinly was in my day to day ride Passat. The wiring loom probably has access for all the 'extras' as standard - cheaper to run a production line on that basis :D

100% certain the cable is there in UK models. But why would you want a cd changer ... I used the CD changer cable to connect to my iPod using the Intravee unit, much better in my opinion ...
