HI can anyone tell me if UK Z4s are wired to take oem multi-changer in the boot/between the seats
I have been offered a dice ipod unit that connects to pre-wired changer cables and was wondering if it will be ok

I believe the wiring is there whether you have the changer or not.... I would check with GVfB first though
 
I can confirm the cable will be there. In the two cars where I took the centre console apart, the cable was there. It is taped down and you can reach it from the boot

What is the color of the cable. Can I really reach it from the boot or I have to take the center console apart? Please help
 
I took mine apart yesterday to connect my phatbox, there's 2 cables. 1 had a black 6 pin female rectangular connector the other a smaller flat 3 pin female connector. They are clipped below the satnav unit where the changer should be. Remove the trim from the boot and there they are. :thumbsup:
 
Phatbox intergates with existing dashboard control and talks to tell you which track / artist you're on. or just leave on random 80gig play. A top bit of kit, I don't understand why so many people mess around with an ipod. :?
