CD changer retrofit

Hi guys, I have the opportunity to get a cheap cd changer from a friend of a friend... I know the car comes pre wired do I need anything else to make it work or any dealer coding etc

Hi Chris,
I don't think you need anything more but if i was you i would fit a Dice or Grom unit to it and run usb's of it, then no need to carry round lots of cd's just usb sticks with buckets of music on and you can bluetooth the phone to it also!

Unlike the e85/6 I think you will need to get it coded.

Quick look on a e90 forum should give you the answer though.
 
Eh? Why not just load your cds to the hard drive. When you put in a cd it should ask you as a default to save to car. Cd multiplayer is surely now redundant ?
 
Hmm if it needs coding not worth it then, only reason I had the idea as I can get the changer for £20...but coding on top not worth it
