CD Changer Question....

Does anyone know if the CD Changer compatible with MP3 discs?
And if so, does this interact well with the sat nav screen to show track names and folders etc?

As far as i know, NO is the answer to both questions.

IIRC the Nav will not display any CD information at all except the track number.

I put a CD in my X reg Polo and the CD Text was displayed on the screen. Put the same CD into the the Z and all i got was 'Track 1' etc.

I fitted the Intravee in mine and im very happy with it. Mine had (still has but disconnected) the CD Changer fitted and it seemed to skip quite frequently when going over bumps etc :thumbsdown:

When i bought my Z4, it had the 2004 Nav DVD and the CD Changer with no 'CD Text'. I honestly couldnt see the point of really even having the NAV screen. I couldnt believe that 4 owners before me had driven it like that until now.

Now ive fitted the Intravee & New Map DVD the screen is in constant use :)

It will play MP3 CD's but not DVD's.
 
I believe it's June 2006+ for the record, as I'm trying to source an OEM changer for mine.
