CD Changer after-fit?

Hi peeps,

Could anyone tell me if the wiring would normally be in place to after-fit the 6 CD changer in a '08 E85 M?

Unsure on face-lift, but have a look under carpet where boot floor meets bulkhead they maybe there probably taped down, should be 2 plugs a 6wire an a 3 wires iirc
 
Pre face lift was fully wired, such as electric seats even if not fitted, post weren't but cd changer might have been, fitting the actual unit is a pita
 
My 07 M was, and I'm pretty sure most are. You'll find the connector underneath the rear centre console compartment, right where you'll be mounting the changer. Bit of a pita to get to, but you'll need to do all that to install the changer anyway.
 
Don't think either of those suggestions play cds, do they? Your opinion of what might be 'better' doesn't really help ops question does it?
My guess is if he's asking about how to install a cd multichannel he probably wants to play cds.
Fwiw I have a dice mediabridge installed into my cd multiplayer input which as you say probably is better. BT music streaming, ipod, USB integration.

I think if you pop your VIN into a BMW VIN decoder, it will tell you if you have the option that is the wiring for the 6 cd-changer:

It's a UK car like yours is, it will have it. :wink:
 
When you say UK car, you mean EUR right? there are no UK spec cars as far as i know, only US and (dirty(EUR))
Realoem doesnt specify anything under UK?
