CD autochager cassette stuck stuck

Some stuff in this thread but I think you have tried most of it?

Thanks for the link. Ill give it all another go Toe-side. My main concern is I don't know how to tell if the CD changer has actual power? I don't believe there's a light on the unit to confirm this. As the car is 2nd hand and the HU is saying no magazine. I think Im going to have take the bulkhead cover in the boot out to see if its connected up at all.... unless there's an easier way?

After further investigation.. (moving the bulkhead cover out of the way) the power cable wasn't connected?? It has ejected the magazine, so I think Im now on the right track (excuse the pun)

Well done, hope you didn't put too many dents in it with the screwdriver method

I took the magazine out, cleaned it up with Mr Sheen to help it in the future. Loaded the cartridge and popped it back in. 1st the HU said 'no magazine', then I could hear it loading the cd's etc. After finishing it displayed 'no disc'. I clicked the source button again and it showed TR....., that was it not TR001, just TR and not a sound from it..... I couldn't change to a different cd using the number buttons, so I presume its a duff unit?
