Ccv replacement

Hi everyone, not picked car up yet but I know I need to replace ccv and rocker cover gasket.
It’s a n52 2.5.
Is there a particular make of ccv people use, or just go for the cheapest?
I assume they’re all made in China anyway.
Same for the gasket as well
Thanks

Reamesy is just about to do the same thing, so could probably give you all the advice you need.

Hi mate did the same but on my m54
Was straight forward enough
Hardest thing was removing old ones
I bought a febi bilstien from eBay £70 all in

Top top tip if new plastic pipes don’t want to posh home run then under a hot tap to give them that bit of flexibility
As it’s very cold out

Get the Febi cold climate CCV kit. It has thicker lagging around the tubes.
Camcover gasket also from Febi and don't forget to use something like Permatex gasket maker around the corners and half-moons before offering up the gasket.

Just waiting for the parts to arrive form AutoDoc Germany. As others have said Febi is a reputable brand. Cost me £100 all in. Genuine is £181. Don't forget you will need a throttle body gastet too. Only £9.67 from BMW.

Another part that was worn on my car after 79000 miles was the Vanos Solenoids. Car runs much better and I now get 37.1 MPG constant if driven normally with a bit of spirited driving. I was getting 32-34 with occasional 38 on motorways. £90 each you will need two. 10 minute job to change.

I will post images and how too with any tips.
