CCV failure?

Hi all, hoping someone can help me with a strange thing that’s happened.
So coming back from a trip away over the weekend, noticed I had some faint blue smoke when accelerating gradually once or twice but have failed to replicate this since. I’ve also had some oily deposits around the oil filler cap which makes me wonder if my CCV is failed/faulty and causing too much pressure within the system?
Also prior to this I’ve had no smoke emitted and even this morning it was okay.

Cheers :)

Hi, signs of a failing ccv are increasing oil consumption & an oily inlet manifold-how much oil are you using?
Lots of short journeys make failure of the system more likely.

I’d say I’m using about 1L for 1,500 miles so not too bad. Do the short journeys for work but do give the car a long blast every other day to clear it all so couldn’t be that. However have noticed now the exhaust appears to be quite sooty/black
