Two things surprised me and one was how easy it looked to do those speeds and the other was it didn't actually look as quick as I thought it would when he passed the car in the inside lane.

For some reason videos always look slower than they really are - I use my Gopro for videos on hill climbing around here... play it back and you think a bicycle is faster, but in the car it's mental !

That guy is a weapons grade chav of the highest order - his daughter was filming in the GTR when he hit 192 on an A road with traffic. That isn't the same as the autobahn which has very strict rules (if you have an accident above 130km/hr you are liable), proper fences to stop animals, no stopping, dynamic speed systems and people know how to drive. On this A road someone could be on a motorbike barely pushing 30 mph or a horse box, or anything ...

Your average person drives along the motorway at 85-90 mph whether it is a new car or something ready for the tip.
I think whether a speed is bonkers really depends on lots of things including condition of vehicle, traffic, weather, and the road itself.
No matter what speed you do you are an idiot if you film the speedo and stick it on the net.
