Cats on the roof

Although I have a g29, I thought someone here who would know better.
A local cat has decided to use my roof as a hang out space when it’s sunny.
Anyone have any nice tips to repel cats without damaging the roof?

Maybe a half soft top cover?

I’m paranoid about cats. Last thing you want is to scare them off and they scratch the fabric

Good jet of water from a hose pipe of super soaker type toy gun. Hopefully it will soon get the message.
We have a neighbours cat that keeps shitting in our back garden, on the fooking lawn!! I would kick it's arse if I got hold of it.
I have started soaking the little s**t, should get the message

You need to get yourself a pussy!

We had a similar issue with neighbours' cats in 2000, but when we got ours in 2003 that stopped - although he was probably doing it in someone else's garden. :D

I bought a cat repellent spray at animal store (or how do you call it), it works great. It has some some that apparently cats don't like.

Maybe this will help https://www.thesprucepets.com/best-cat-repellents-4153850

That’s what I’m looking for, but is it safe in the soft top? How often would I need to apply it?

I'd try orange peel on a plastic tray or plate.
Used to quite like cats until all in the neighbourhood started to use my garden as a toilet. Not nice with little children who want to play in it.
Can't stand them now.

Cats hate citrus. Our cat definitely does. Its an indoor cat, so don't worry about it sitting on your roof! :P

Wash the top with something lemon/orange/lime scented and they wont sit on it. Or if you don't want to wash the top every week find a non-damaging citrus scented spray to occasionally spritz it with.

That will work until the cat decides to use the bonnet instead

Sorry don't have a fix for you and feel for your issue. For these issues they should come out with a Citrus smelling paint!

We used to have the neighbours cat round ours killing all the birds and shitting and pissing everywhere. Can't stand cats. Murderous, nasty things.

Anyway, bought a Staffy and funnily enough the cat doesn't seem to come round anymore.

Also got her a lion costume for extra effect.

Bit extreme just to keep a cat off your roof though I must admit.
