Ive had a few episodes of A/F in the first few weeks but they were not as severe nor did they last as long. Since Dec 17th it hasn't flickered .
After 10 weeks or so I am feeling cautiously optimistic - The Cardiologist has removed some medication and I have a follow up with the Doctor who performed the procedure in early March.
I would say don't have any doubts about the procedure, much better than pills.

Op at 12.30 and back to ward at 14.30
I spent the rest of the day in bed but chatting to other inmates eating and drinking. I was wired up and regular blood pressure readings taken
Had a good nights sleep and was able to be showered next day after removing the pressure dressing.
During the op I was only aware of something happening for very brief periods. That was only when the medics needed my input .
My wife collected me by car the next morning - I walked from the ward to the car and I was home after the twenty mile journey by 14.00
I felt that I had undergone something but i think it was more tiredness as there had been a lot of unknowns and things going on the day before.
In reality I wasn't off my feet for long - the incision (12mm long) wasnt uncomfortable - I suppose I took things easy for a week - but milk it for as long as you can !
The bottom line is - that although I hope I don't need it again, if I did, then it wouldn't worry me unduly.
Pm me if you have anything that you're concerned about. I'm sure there are very qualified medics on here but they may not have been on the recieving end of their colleagues skills !
