Cat D newbie!

Hello people!

First post, just checking in. I've been lurking on these boards for a while before I made my purchase.

A 2005 2.2 in Sterling Grey with black leather, cruise, heated seats and Carver stereo.

It was involved in a bump last year and written off by the insurance company as a Cat D (ie repairable, but financial write off).

The accident was on the entrance to a roundabout. Driver in front went to move off, driver behind (the Zed) followed, but then the first driver abandoned and slammed on the brakes resulting in the Zed hitting it.

Damage - bumper, radiator, lights, bonnet and driver airbag. No chassis damage as less than 15mph.

Car has now been fully repaired, complete with M sport bumper and upgrade clear front indicators.

Looking forward to getting some great advice on here!!!!

Hi Cheadle
Has yours got the wider side sills looks like from the pic any more pics
Looks really well :) there are some Ellipsoid wheels going on here but might be a few bods after them i bet

Thanks for the comments guys

It would look better on 18"s so I'm keeping a look out for a decent set. I had to put 4 new Falkens on it to get through the MOT though, so It may be a while.
It was about a third less than you'd expect to pay, so its cost me £7.5k (including the tyres). Its done 40k.
Bit nicer than the other stuff I was looking at for the money, especially in this weather :D :D :D

Welcome  car looks great nice gloss on that paint and as said above some 108s stubby ariel and clear side repeaters it will be a stunner

Welcome, very nice indeed.

Sounds like a good price , was that 7.5k bought like that or did you source and fix bits yourself?

Am I the only one that likes that wheel design on a Z4? Shame they're 17s and not 18 though!

Welcome.
