On a separate note, I quite like this for the money!

Can't beat a bit of 4x4 reliable luxury turbo 0-60 in 6secs for under £6k on 25k miles :)

Why is the pillar trim missing if it was just a scrape on the passenger side, possibly he's been doing something else unrelated but still. When it comes to cars I wouldn't touch a write off, makes them virtually impossible to sell, motorbikes are another matter as they're generally considerably cheaper and it's much harder to conceal damage.

Looks very dodgy and totally flimper spec
Who would buy an M with zero spec like that - especially from new.

Very light scuff caused it to be written off on 5000 miles? I smell bullshit
+1

My light scrape was almost a £3k repair, so there's no way a £25k-£30k car would have been written off for something that small.

Although a 'light scrape' to every panel could mean that every panel had to be replaced which would double or triple that cost at BMW/insurance rates :headbang:

Back for sale again:

2 days left with one bid so still showing £7k...

Ive been told from several unreliable sources that theres a rough rule of thumb for deciding wether a car gets written of or not. Something like if the cost of repair is less than 1/3 value of vehicle then it is economical to repair. So I`m guessing this must have sustained over £10k in damage?

I thought it was 60% - i.e. if cost of repairs/hire car estimated to be greater than 60% of car's market value then it's written off?

I went to view the Mazda 6 MPS at the weekend - it was immaculate with full service history, absoloute bargain apart from it fallinf to the £475/year road tax. It was sold before I even got there, salesman said the phone had been constantly ringing since it went up on autotrader!

Ha yer I'm glad someone else thought that was a decent car :)

If I was selling my Z and in the market for something bigger that would be ideal! Not surprised he had lots of phone calls and it sold quickly, was a bargain at that price!
