Would you guys ever consider buying a cat C or D car? If it had been professionally repaired and had a dvla inspection. Im thinking that to some its a way into owning a premium brand without the premium expence. Cars these days are wrote off for the strangest reasons.........................

I wouldn't ever touch a Cat C. Sometimes, Cat D cars are cosmetic only... once saw a Cat D write off that had been vandalised. Windscreen & two side windows smashed, interior & all four tyres knifed and bonnet scratched. £6000 damage at dealer prices on a £11k car... mate of mine bought it for £5000 and repaired it for £2500. But you have to be very confident of the extent of the damage.

This ones been covered a few times. General view seems 'no' given potential poor repairs, higher insurance premiums and resale issues.
That said there are some economics to it, in terms of entry to a car that may otherwise be out of reach. If you plan to keep the car for years then resale is less of an issue, etc.
All about the right example, quality of repairs, how much you trust it, etc.
Personally wouldn't go near one as I'd know I'd be driving a Cat xx car.

No, I wouldn't, but if you have friends in the car repair business then it might be worth buying a pre repaired Cat D car, that way you could ensure all the work was top notch.
Cat D yes cat C def no , if you know the history shouldn't be a issue only with resale value but you buy cheep you sell cheep so Probably no worse off . If you have herd of the saying better the devil you know ........how many cars have had pranges but not declared because off insurance costs , unless you have owned your car from new who would know . Do you know your cars history ? Buying cars is a gamble you just got to hope you get a good one . 
Guys have said before as well no issues at all, My blue z4 coupe I had was a cat d and no one had any idea and complement on the condition of the car when at the London Meet, I sold it in 5 days no hassle at all. Would not consider a C as that serious structural damage , a D is no bother IMO only cosmetic “generally. What’s the issue with resale people bang on about you buy for less so sell for less.... simples!
