Castrol Edge

Hi Guys
Getting ready for a service this we. I hope to get most if not all the parts at Halfords as I hacve a trade card and you can get very good discount.
However Asda are currently doing 4ltrs of 5W30 Castrol edge at £30 (as opposed to Halfords at £45). I know this isnt 0W30 the approved oil (I have a 3.0 SE 2004) but is is an alternative. Also when you go on the Castrol website the 5W30 is the oil they recommend?
Also what spark plugs are recommended?
Anyone have any comments/advice?

Edge 0W30 seems to be the most recommended stuff on here.

My last service (Oil 2) I used Edge Sport 5W30 and all is well.
 
If you google Mobil and Castrol you'll find articles relating how Castrol developed Synthetic Oil from mineral base's changing the Molecular structure and due to regulations are considered Synthetic. There's a whole argument that they're not as the oil they are were producing from cheap mineral stock instead of truly Sythetic base stocks. Now I'm not stating that this is the case with Casttol edge but historicity is was and Mobil 1 has been race proven for decades and only uses the highest quality Synthetic base stocks to produce its Fully Synthetic oils.
