Castle Combe Saturday 20th Feb

BHP days generally very good, with low car numbers, some tasty metal and I love combe!

See you there Dave.

I may pop along to see some cars and faces, but dont think I'll track mine at all.
The 2.5 isnt set up for it and the Alpina is still SORNed

I may pop along and say hello, may have a new car by then too :) Not sure if I will be ready to take it on track though but we shall see :)

You do need to book in advance if you want to go on track, you can't just turn up and have a go!
No problem spectating obviously

All are welcome to say hi and spectate, more than happy to take out passengers too, BHP charge £5 I believe.

The entry list is now full with a reserve list building. The list here is almost a month out of date, even so there are some interesting cars there: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0Bw5xJgR2krkvSjBJeDFMbG9lVnM&usp=drive_web

Dave, what sort of timeframe will you be there? may pop up and take you up on the passenger ride offer !

I'll be there all day, as will Tom I believe, a shame it's forecast rain, that makes it four wet trackdays in a row!

Yep, see you in the morning dave. Quite looking forward to the rain tbh, it's been a while since I've had one surprisingly, though I haven't been since October, so I'll be having fun whatever the weather. As long as it's not like the last time I was at Combe in the 'summer' when I'd have been better off with a jet ski, it was terrifying as I had completely unsuitable tyres, aquaplaning coming up to quarry
I'm chancing it with a set of 'semi-slicks' tomorrow (though brand new so good depth), forecast doesn't look so bad and windy as well which should help move the water. I hope :D

Good to have met you today Tom

The day started off damp and just got worse, big puddles after lunch and high winds too (no connection to the lunch). Some good tussles with various cars, but have just put together a few clips from when Tom and I were out in convoy. No point in showing the clips when I was in front as I only had a forward facing camera, so it's a bit boring by comparison.

I must say that I have noise envy  the combination of Toms Superspint exhaust and CSL airbox are so much louder and deeper sounding than my Eventuri. Good to compare our cars and interesting to see how well Toms new NS2Rs coped with the conditions (as did my old Contis with 2mm!).

Good Video Fishy Dave, thanks for sharing.

Looks like it was a good day, just a shame it wasn't drier for some roof down stuff !

Pleasure to meet you too Dave, and a great day, taught me quite a lot. Great vid, thanks for sharing. Sadly my chinese knock off go pro only managed to record your wife driving so sorry about that. :x
You may have noise envy, I have extended leather envy too. Not much I can do that about that, CSL airbox though... :poke: Who needs a holiday to Canada anyway right?
Look forward to seeing you soon.

Happy to pass on a couple of tips  A shame about the camera, I never get to see my own car, hopefully it will work next time. :)
Think I might be in trouble if the holiday budget was spent on another piece of carbon! :telloff:

Next trackday if you fancy it: The last ever trackday at Hullavington on Saturday 12th of March, £129 with http://motorsport-events.com/

Sounds like you had a great time. I got an afcb ticket so didnt have time to fit the trip in as well. Not the best choice as it turned out. Will try and make it fo a future one.
