went today the dealer had a smile for ear to ear when he saw the condition, i thought oh dear too cheap. never mind its gone now. he had a 56 reg 2.5 with hardly any spec and scratches all over it for £500 less than he paid for mine.

Glad your sorted ace, my local dealer has a 2.5i 56 plate for £17,495 and a slightly newer 3.0si coupe for only £500 more (only 7k more on the clock). THe coupe is the SE which may explain a bit, but the specs are very similar so roadsters are getting good prices at the moment it would seem.

thanks very much for the advice about the dealer at hailsham steve, thats who bought it. i assume the 2.5 you talk off is the light blue one full of scratches! must say they were very easy and pleasant to deal with no arguing or trying to get the price down, makes a nice change, thanks again i owe you a pint or two, jeff.

are you interested to know how much the dealer will be selling it for?

I never like to find that out... after i px'ed my first car, and when i went to give them my V5 to the dealer the following weekend (as i had the personal plate tranfered over) i found out that had already got a buyer.. with a 33% markup!

I nearly asked them to give me a price for mine yesterday when I collected it from being repaired, might just pop back down there as it would be easier to sell than faf around with private buyers, as long as the price is right of course.

groan, not that one again srhutch ... :D Another repmobile?
