Anyone have any tips for easy removal/refitting? Four pipe connections to get on/off looks like a bugger to get to :)

I've tried to see how you can get at it easily, but it doesn't look easy :P

I think it's a fair old strip back at the intake system to get at it. Shipkiller might have a better idea of what to take off to get at it quickly and easily.

Something to add to my list next time I'm in that part of the engine bay. Has to be worth pulling it out to see if there is evidence of clogging up, but not something I'd worry about.

Consequences look expensive, but I guess if they sell 11 per day (assuming that to be a good figure) and the part covers pretty much all the cars from 3, 5, 7, Z3, Z4, X3, X5 then it can't be a common fault, given the mileage some of those will have achieved.
 
Hate to drag up an old thread, but the part that went bang in my car is the same one mentioned in this month's Evo Magazine's Buying Guide on the Z4 M Coupe as being a weakness...

Anyone else spot it, or more to the point know if they've had problems..?
 
Evo buying guide was a mix of m and non m info so I wouldn't set any store by that. Very poor for such a competent mag.
