I have a Carly and the new updated app the reason I purchased it was to do some changes which I can’t seem to find
1 was a full circle break light another was when locking the car the mirrors fold in and third when dropping the roof the window stay down
I can’t seem to find any of this unless I am missing something

Think those options are more advanced than the likes of Carly. Think you'll need NCS or something...

I'm not currently attached to my car via the app but under my selection of 'Z4 (E85, E86)/2006' there was listed the option to code the mirrors upon locking and the brake light pressure intensity options for definite.....the other one you mention I cant swear to having seen but mine being a coupe I just may not have registered! Good luck! It was only a few days that I got the Carly and it identified a few faults....the problem is finding out what they mean! My Airbag light on was down as what seems like battery cable(s) being damaged/compromised......still means a trip to the garage but at least forearmed!
 
Im certain I've coded my brake lights to do the full circle when braking. Unfortunately my car is away being fixed so I cant go out and double check the settings. As for the mirrors I cant remember seeing an option to fold on locking???

I definitely saw the option for folding.....there were 3 settings with options for the speed of folding....I seem to recall it tells you to select first all 3 options then de-select the ones not required to get it to work.....all original codes are backed up each time I believe. All I did at the time was to set the indicators to flash 3 times when flicked for overtaking ....its down of course as 'turn signals'.....

Windows xp/7/10 laptop and a cheap usb k cable. I bought this one https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-USB-...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649 you can probably find a cheaper one that works. It comes with the software but EasyBMWTools is the better option., Carly is subscription, you pay every year to use it and it has very limited functionality.

The option is there but it doesn’t work, more than a few have tried without success.

Yes, I was aware of that and contacted them with the query. They simply replied that it should work but unless I’ve missed something, no one on here has achieved it.

Do you know if this software works for the e89 as well?

It works for any BMW as far as I'm aware, with the correct ODB connector, the one I got is switchable between K and D. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-USB-OBD-K-Dcan-Diagnostic-Cable-Switched-UK-INPA-DIS-SSS-NCS-Coding-ISTA/152975554860?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649 (I couldn't get the software to work that came with it)
EasyBMWTools is basically :

- Inpa 5.0.6 (with English script files & Support for F-series)
- EDIABAS 7.3.0
- NCS Expert (with English menus and buttons, and NCS Dummy Profile pre-installed)
- NCS Dummy 4.0.1
- Tool32 4.0.3
- WinKFP 5.3.1
- Integrated SP-DATEN v53.3
- BMW Coding Tool v2.5.0 (for use as an alternative to NCS Dummy, or to update DATEN files as new ones become available)
- USB Drivers for cable

I tried lots of different versions/downloads before this but couldn't get them to work.
