Carly - which option to buy?

Hi Guys,

I understand that Carly is the go-to diagnostic tool for BMW (and others it seems). If purchased 2nd hand from eBay for example, is it plug-and-play or do I need to subscribe for anything or pay to unlock any features?

New, they show 2 options - basic and the plus - I presume plus in the one to go for?

Carly is not the go to BMW diagnostic tool..it’s pretty weak on such matters…Bimmergeeks Protool is the go to diagnostic tool..and it doesn’t incur repeat annual licences..
 
Carly is okay if you want to code various things but how often will you want to do that? The C310+ will do all your diagnostic stuff for about £50.
 
Whilst this is on topic my E89 has folding mirrors but only when I press the button and not when I lock the car, can Carly or others code it to do that?

Also, according to a vin check my radio has CD preparation, but not Bluetooth…is there anything I can do with CD preparation that isn’t fitting a six disc changer? Thanks in advance!
