Carly or bimmercode?

Dear forum.
Gradually getting to grips with new ownership of facelift e85 z4. Am looking to get a coder and carly was my initial thought due to @its joel review. Has anyone used bimmercode on their z4 that could give an evaluation of it, or even versus carly.

Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

Depends what you want to do. Carly is now a subscription based service and is designed to turn features on and off that are part of the factory features. Often these are present but disables. It can also run diagnostics, reports faults and you can clear them too. There is a thread where people share their locations to forum members can get together share their Carly. https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=97818&hilit=carly I got together with a local guys down here in NZ through the forum and he has helped me out doing a few mods to my Zed.


I am not familiar with Bimmercode so can't shed any light on that. According to their site, the E85 is not supported? https://bimmercode.app/cars/bmw/z4/e85/

Hold off, there's another one in the pipeline that looks very good. It's currently only for VAG cars, but they are releasing an app for BMW shortly I believe. Let me see if I can find the thread and I'll link it here.

Edit: Can't find it sorry. Hopefully someone else will post the link to the thread discussing it.
