Carly help

Hi there as the title says I am looking for a little bit of help I have been looking into coding for my Z4 and the only one I keep coming across at is the Carly one my question is, is there any adapters other than the official Carly one that I can buy that will work with the Carly app I don't mind paying the £40 odd for the app but the extra £60 for the adapter is a bit much so anyone out there had any success with anything else that's cheaper.

I also have a BMcables cable adapter and that works OK too.

I think that cable is for android devices sadly I have an iPhone or iPad only and I am based near bexley/ dartford area best way I can describe it about 20 mins from dartford bridge

if you have a preface then you are going to need the wired obd adaptor.

I have pre face and Carly on iphone with their adapter works fine

Likewise. iPhone (iOS) uses the black Carly wifi adapter... pre and post...

I think some do, but not all functions work? I've heard some people experience problems, not sure if it's restricted to certain things or what?

Best bet is to get a genuine one! Sometimes they pop up on eBay? If you can wait?

I had problems using a BM Cable - software wouldnt always connect to the car and in the end it was happening so often that I just went and bought the Carly cable and now it connects every time without an issue.
