Carly Error Codes

Hi,

I have run the Carly diagnostic checks on my car and it is showing several errors.

I'm able to clear them, but invariably they come back.

Attached is the report from Carly. Everything seems to be working in the car, speakers seem fine.

Any advice?

Maybe after market speakers and/or after market amp..

Current violation could be many things, bluetooth not shutting down, comfort access failure, IBS issue etc etc

Registery issue looks like it may be connected with the MOST bus

Need a proper code reader rather than a toy to get further on it..

It has the basic audio package, which I think is 6 speakers. I haven't looked to see what speakers they are, but was considering upgrading them to the Harmon Kardon (I think) speakers with tweeters, from BMW as fitted to the higher audio spec cars. Do you think they might throw errors, or would I be better off just replacing them with the base spec ones?

The car doesn't have the comfort access option, ie keyless entry etc, but there is a comfort access option in the central locking menu. Ive turned that off. I think that just relates to opening the roof from the key fob, but not sure, and its too wet to test.

MOST bus means nothing to me :)

Fair enough about using a proper reader than Carly....
 
I've seen a few E89s with those speaker error codes..no harm seems to have occured..I would not worry about changing speakers but who knows what / when /how is in there..

Those current drain issues can be triky to find..the gold standard is multimeter on the battery and keep disconnecting units tll current drops to about 7ma..

That's how I found my comfort access door handles were an issue..bluetooth not shutting down very common cause as is incorrect battery coding / registration.

I haven't checked the age of the battery, suspect it may be original. Considering changing it as apparently these cars are sensitive to battery issues. If some unit isn't shutting down properly then I guess a new battery may not cure it, but possibly worth doing anyway.

I think in this specific case most codes are not battery related..but..you could always recode and reregister the battery as a good step..
