I got four yellow warning lights on my dash again this morning, thought it was going to be a front wheel sensor again but the Carly error code 00003D says " central: short drive at tailgate / central: short circuit or line interruption in drive tailgate / gm 4: relay signal adhesive MFBZ by U-batt". Anyone know what this is likely to be as i haven't got a beeping clue :headbang:

Found this doing a google search different fault description to yours but same code http://chris-pickering.com/blog/meet-carly/

How old is your battery, if its on its way out this can cause all sorts of errors to crop up.

Yes that sounds OK, have you tried clearing that code to see if it comes back?
Wishful thinking, cleared code might confuse it enough to get tha brake lights working if that don't work change that sensor and see if that cures it.

No disregard the brake lights I mentioned, working two threads and mixed yours up with the other one. The link I gave you pointed them to a failed post cat lambda sensor, strange Carly didnt give the same explanation for that code that you have. Know anyone with INPA diagnostics, might be worth scanning it with that to see what comes back.

Where on the Planet are you maybe someone near you

Similar problems on this thread with suggestions but you need to code read it to see if any codes are set

Are the carpets wet in yours?

I didn't notice wet carpets, i'll have a look when there's a break in the rain, i did drive through a large pool of water moments before the lights came on though.

Ran Carly again, cleared the error and went for a drive, all lights out (car clearly dried out) I would have liked to know just what the problem is though, just have to wait for more deep puddles.

Found Carly to be a bit hit and miss with error codes, mine seems to flag up a fault in a system that doesn't exist on cars outside the US (Cant recall the name of it now!) but checking with INPA or ISTA-D shows no faults, trust the BMW software a bit more in this instance!
