This particular ducky would have made a lovely stripe top to toe on either me or Lau had its' timing been a bit more accurate!

That's like napalm style bombing. That would not be fut cleaning off of a softtop. Especially if it dried.

God I hope not, he's supposed to be coding my mirrors to fold when locking/unlocking, hope he doesn't delete 2 cylinders or worse...delete my whippy

I thought the folding wing mirrors were manual on my car 2003 z4 2.5i. That's how I've been folding them. Have they only put electronic folding mirrors on the 2003 3.0. Seems a bit strange or were they another pay as you go option?

You can not code that firebobby, the car can not do that with lock / unlock. The bus does not give signals for that, it is a pure mechanical folding function (via switch).

yes, if you have them, they were an incredibly rare option on the e85. The option is codeable though

When holding the lock/unlock button on the remote the sideview mirrors automatically fold/unfold. In order to activate this function, set the other two settings to ‘active’. (codable in GM5)

I am sorry, it will not work. I have tried everything and that was the response I got back when measuring the bus signal when folding my mirrors.

I provided the diagnostics file to the manufacturer and that is what they told me - the pressing of the button does NOT generate signals that can be replicated by anything else.

Carly is nice - but a lot of functions that are on the menu do not actually work on the car.

Might be worth firing an email over to Parcis at carly support fred, just for absolute clarification. There's a lot of opinionating and misinformation floating about re carly. Why not hear it from the horses mouth? And hooking up to the carly app will prove difinitive in any case.....
i emailed them late last night re the problem with the update and they got right back to me.
Parvis also just emailed me to let me know the issue is now resolved. Thats top service!

I checked with the Carly people Fred and it isn't good news! On early models like PVR 'being nice' was a factory option only and it obviously wasn't specified by his parents :lol:
