Carista query

Treated myself to Carista using iPhone.

Managed to get digital speed on dash but also wanted the folding mirrors to auto fold when ignition turned off but, even though I turned this to on,did not work.
I have the folding mirrors which do fold when button depressed on the driver door.

Anyone else managed to do this with carista please?

I don't think you can get the mirrors to fold when you turn the ignition off but you can get them to fold when you press lock on your key fob. You need to contact Carista support and tell them what you are trying to do and they should put you on their Beta program, via the Beta they have the codings to do this (I had to do this). I am not sure why they still haven't implemented those codings into the regular software since it's been in Beta for many months now. As I say best to contact their support.

I've been trying the same with bimmercode - if I find out I'll post it on here

I tried with Bimmercode first and couldn't do it, I contacted their support but they just said it wasn't possible so next I tried with Carista, it still wouldn't work but Carista support took a different approach and told me they added many more codings for the E89 in their Beta version with which I finally managed to get it done. That was quite a few months ago though so maybe things have changed with Bimmercode since then.

I have tried to do the same via Carista but failed, even with the beta. I had been told by my BMW specialist that I don't have the comfort module to be able to remotely open and close my powered mirrors.

Hmm in that case carista maybe going back to Amazon!
Saying that, I read you could use it to register a replacement battery which may be useful in future.

Are you sure you changed all the appropriate codings, you have to change more than one in order to get the mirrors to work. I think I have kept screenshots of the codings I did in Carista, not sure if I can post them here or maybe you can send me a PM and I can send them to you so you can check them.

I've had an email back from bimmercode who say that if it is possible with carly, then it will be possible in Bimmercode using "expert mode" but they don't have the settings at the moment but will try and find out - if I hear back I'll post what they say

Even though you have your delay set for 0.1 and mine is set to 0.0, you still just have to hold the lock button for just a fraction of a second. But on unlock the mirrors fold out. Mine doesn't have comfort access and I was able to code the mirrors as per the screenshots I sent you.
