Carbon Mirrors Fitted :o)

Finally got around to fitting the Tekarbon mirror covers today after a wash and brush up :)

I had planned on removing the mirror glass so as to get at the clips which hold the mirror casings as I've done this before when removing the mirror covers on my previous 1 Series. However unlike the 1er the E89s mirror glass seemed very stubborn to unclip :x I therefore just prized the covers off which took a little finger nail pulling but its do-able. If you start at the top of mirror cover inboard and gently prize the cover off it will unclip and then do the bottom and once it starts to unclip its very easy to then remove fully. There's no danger of breaking the clips. The replacement covers simply push back on and click into place.

Overall after the faff of ordering from Tekarbon I'm pleased with them. Some piccies,

Very nice... I like the black A pillars too.

Maybe get a black roof now too?

Cheers for the comments :thumbsup: was really unsure on fitting these on the Zed as I wasn't keen when I had them on the 1 Series but I think they work OK. The BMW Performance Carbon mirror covers I had on the 1er were never a great fit and never clicked into place fully so could easily have been nicked :?

I did notice when I removed the original covers, on the passenger cover the paint had worn off where it sits on the door mount I guess with the mirrors folding in and out :cry:

Would love a gloss black roof, having said that its hardly been up this week :D Starting to really enjoy the Zed as intended now as when I collected it on the 18th April last year was just when it started to rain and never really relented for most of the summer :x

That looks great against the silver :thumbsup:

That's another one for the mods list...quite fancy the CF Roll Bar covers as well...but they aren't cheap!

Cheers, I looked at the carbon roll bar covers and they do look nice but I have the clear wind deflector attached to mine so might be a pain swapping them over.
