Carbon Mirror Caps

I quite fancy some carbon mirror caps for the Zed, however in BMWs wisdon they hardly do any Performance carbon bits for the E89 :( I can't seem to find any direct replacements so it would have to be these

At the price just wandering if they will be too tacky?

I ordered a similar set from an American Company last year who oddly used the same pics as this chinese seller :? which were around £120 and never received them :cry: Sent repeated e-mails to the seller and opened a Paypal case and never got anywhere :| So basically was ripped off.

I'm thinking they don't cost an arm and leg and easily removeable but look fairly decent in the pics.

Given your previous experience and you say ‘oddly used the same pics” whereas this site claims 'All pictures are real and taken by ourselves!” I would be very wary of buying. However, that may just be my suspicious nature. Too tacky? Only you can decide. I have never liked gold taps but some do!

Thanks Mike, the company I used before weren't on e-bay, I just found them on the net so ordered a pair of caps, however as they weren't on e-bay there was no feedback to go on. At least with this e-bay seller they have some decent feedback etc.

I bought some carbon splitters for the Z3 from China and have to say the quality is superb and pleasantly surprised.

I would just prefer replacement carbon mirror shells that the actual covers like I had on my previous 1 Series which were the BMW Performance caps.

I'm guessing as the Zeds mirrors have a black plastic casing regardless of colour you won't see the colour of the mirror shells. Having said that the pics from the e-bay seller conveniently don't show that angle :?

Wouldn't waste my money. Wrap or find a reputable company that do replacement covers as a complete unit rather than than just stick on covers. :thumbsup:

I'm guessing they will fit 2012 model?

Not keen on wrapping especially with carbon effect film as it just looks fake to me :cry:

Received a reply from Tekcarbon who confirm the replacement mirror shells will fit a 2012 model so have ordered a pair :D

Looking forward to treating the Zed after being stored over winter :driving:
