But how many of you have sat in the driver's seat and watched your passenger drag grubby fingers across it?

Me! I took a girl on a date in my coupe a few months back & she was like 'ooh fancy i like this' on the PB & must have dragged some makeup or whatever women folk use to ply their fingers with...

It's funny how much people put down the brushed aluminium, in most interiors metal is seen as more premium than glossy plastic or fake carbon fibre. I think it lifts what is otherwise a very dour interior whereas PB or CF just add more boring black. I have red seats and door cards but I would prefer the rest of the general trim to be a lighter colour. Our e91 is light grey inside and it feels like a totally different car to a black one.

That is very true, if i had the brushed ali in my e46 i'd leave it but because its the zed weirdly i want PB.

I had BA in my previous zed before I replaced with genuine CFL. I don't link the BA as being a large panel on the dash its too much, and also with the roof down and the sun behind the reflection can be a real PITA.

CFL for me all day long.

I have all but decided that I am going to stick with the PB I think. at 29 votes with one ahead on PB I think its safe to say the opinion is split virtually down the middle.

Carbon fiber leather will be up for sale when I drag my ass back to UK from Saudi Arabia in the early new year. :)

Thanks for the input everyone! :)

if she has to apply makeup with fingers then she's not a keeper. :D

+1

I know it's not favoured on here, but I think the BA adds a nice contrast and it's something a bit different to most other dash finishes out there in other cars.

I voted PB mostly because for me anything calling itself carbon fibre should be real carbon fibre

You won't be buying a Z5 then, as that's a Toyota.
